In memory of
1 year ago I sadly lost my amazing Grandma to bowel cancer. My Grandma was an extra special woman. She beat breast cancer at a young age but sadly bowel cancer took her from us at the age of 82. She was lively, upbeat and determined, it came as a shock to me to know that she wouldn’t be there to experience many milestones still to come in my life. I miss our cuppas, gossips and cuddles the most. She was an extraordinary mum, grandma, great grandma and friend to so many people and life is not the same without her. I’m walking this walk in memory of her in hope to raise money so that hopefully less families have to go through the loss of a loved one. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work.
Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
With Cancer Research UK Giving Pages more of the money raised goes towards beating cancer. Aside from the credit and debit card fees, every penny donated goes to Cancer Research UK.
All donations made to this page will automatically be transferred to Cancer Research UK.
