Molly's #Sillyhatformatt Challenge

When Francis and I first moved to London, Francis joined Barnes Hockey Club and met Matt Simpson for the first time. You often hear how sport brings people together...well, Matt was the embodiment of that. On and off the pitch, the Barnes Breezers were a force to be reckoned with. Lifelong friendships were made and everything from scoring a goal to getting married was celebrated, usually by downing a Bacardi Breezer or wearing a silly hat, or both! Five years ago Matt, husband to Trine, Dad to Daniel and Oliver, and friend and teammate to so many of us, had his life cruelly cut short by a rare type of stomach cancer called Linitis Plastica. In memory of Matt, Trine has set up the #sillyhatformatt challenge to raise funds in both the UK and Australia specifically for research into stomach cancer, and there's a whole team of us taking on all sorts of challenges from stadium stomps to school silly hat days to triathlons, and all of us will be wearing a silly hat!
