My Story
A few years ago my hilarious, annoying, but awsome Uncle Simon Scott-Greenard had to leave his children, his wife, his mum and dad, his sister, and all of his family and friends because of cancer. In the year leading up to that, whilst we went on holidays he had to cancel his. Whilst we went out for meals, he could not. Whilst we planned our futures, he could not. And only 3 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer, whilst our lives carried on, his did not. A few years prior to that my Great-Nanny also suffered with and passed on in similar circumstances. And then only a couple of years ago in 2015, everybodys most favourite nanny, my Super Nanny Scott-Greenard, was threatened with pre-cancerous cells in her breast. And because of the fantastic research and work that has been discovered over the last few years, it was caught and treated early, and she received magnificent care which saved her! And so I have a lot of time and respect for cancer research, and charity events such as this, working towards continuing to fund the fantastic work that is done behind the scenes to give more and more people the amazing chance that my Nanny got. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
