My Story
Bark For Life is a 5km sponsored fundraising walk organised by volunteers on behalf of Cancer Research UK. The walk takes place at the beautiful Rushcliffe Country Park and the route, through the park follows woodland paths and surfaced lanes, so it is suitable for all dogs. There will be lots of activities for the dogs to take part in throughout the day including a dog agility course, a canine photographer as well as a fantastic Fun Dog Show, with categories for pooches of all shapes and sizes and even a special round for the most charitable pooch. There will also be stalls selling doggy, pet and outdoor items as well as Cancer Research UK merchandise. Bark For Life honours the life-long support of our canine friends. Dogs are wonderful companions and those of us who are dog owners will know the oy of walking and caring for a dog. All the money raised will go towards Cancer Research UK to help fund life-saving research. Cancer Research UK’s vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Its ambition is to accelerate progress and see three-quarter of people surviving the disease by 2934. Unfortunately, COVID 19 has hit the charities fundraising hard. Vital research was paused and research spend had to be cut. However, the Charity will adapt and will continue to fund the best Scientists in the UK. Your support will help achieve this.
