Pretty Muddy Portsmouth 5K 2017
Me & some of the girls at work wanted to do something for our friend Sue who has been battling breast cancer this year. She has steamed through her treatment looking as glam as ever-a true inspiration. So, we decided that the pretty muddy obstacle course would be a great idea! As if that wasn't a good enough reason to raise money for a fantastic charity, on bank holiday Monday, we had a bolt out of the blue. My funny, bossy, chatterbox of a Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer as the primary cancer but with traces in various other places too. She was very poorly that day & we got called in to be with her. Then, last Thursday, doctors came in & said the type of cancer she has can be treated with hormones & it should zap the other bits too. Whilst she won't ever be cancer free, doctors were positive & said all being well she should lead a relatively normal life. She came home from hospital yesterday! It is the work of charities like this that help people like my Mum & Sue. What they do is fantastic. Please give generously. Thank you xx
