My Story

Sarah’s story: In January this year I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I could never have imagined that this disease would be something that would affect me so directly, especially at such a young age. Whilst the diagnosis was a massive shock, I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who has supported me and been so amazing, getting me through my treatment so far! I’ve decided to take part in the Race for Life this year as I finally have a break from surgery, and this whole experience has shown me how cancer really can affect anyone and how important developments in cancer research can be. I’m also hoping that raising a bit of money will give me some motivation to get fit post-surgery, so any donations would be greatly appreciated!
