My Story
Just over two years ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 Bowel Cancer. I am one of the lucky ones and am still here to tell the tale but have also sadly seen the devastating effects that cancer can have on families & loved ones. I am taking part in the Very Race for Life 2020 with my Blue Watch colleagues to celebrate life and remember loved ones who have had a cancer journey whilst raising vital funds for research. Each year, around 44,100 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in the UK. That’s around 120 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat bowel cancer.
