Kayla's Race for Life At Home

2020 and 2021 has been the hardest years of my life. I watched the strongest woman I know fight the worse kind of illness. It was heart-breaking to hear that her illness was terminal, but like the warrior my mammar was she somehow always managed to always crack a smile, laugh and reminisce on happy memories. The challenges with Covid made things harder as we weren't able to hug or kiss her, as we did not want to put her at more risk. There were a lot of hard days, we all cried together but we always made the most of our precious time spent together. Mammar taught us all so much. She taught us to be strong, never give up and to always fight for what we believe in, but most of all she taught us to enjoy life and make the most of the little things. I am racing for the strongest person I know, who fought to the very end and heartbreakingly lost her battle earlier this year. 💜..You are and will always be in my heart mammar.
