My sister and I have decided to join the 10k race for life after losing our younger brother to this devastating disease this year. He was 48 and was the kindest most gentlest man you could meet. We always called him The Gentle Giant. We also lost our mother to the same disease 27 years ago, she was 47. The loss is just unbearable but if we can raise some funds to try and beat this hopefully less people will feel the emptiness that is left behind after loosing a love one.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
