Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. My Mom fought a brave battle with liver cancer she never gave up until the painful end. I miss her soo much. My Mom's story started with bowel Cancer that was successfully removed and she had a blast of chemo for several weeks to make sure nothing was left. Shortly after my Mom felt unwell again, she had a scan that came back clear, but she still felt unwell, she had a second scan months later they found a tumour a large aggressive tumour in her liver that had also spread to her lungs! It came about it had been missed in the first scan and she was told she was terminal! My Mom wanted to fight and had several months of harsh chemo and then radio as the Cancer had spread to her rib bone! When the treatment stopped as my Mom had become too tired the cancer kept going. My Mom spent five weeks in Shrewsbury hospice until she lost her fight 😢. My Mom suffered for many months, it was totally devastating to watch helplessly as a family. I would love for a cure to prevent other families living this nightmare and the brave patients that fight soo hard to live.
