Michelle's Race for Life
Blackpool 5k 2020
Wed 26 Aug 2020 - Wed 26 Aug 2020
I'm sure you're aware that in 2018 I received the most devastating news that I had stage 4a Cervical cancer. A drug named Carboplatin, given during my Chemorads was developed by Cancer research and one of their professors - Hillary Calvert. If it wasn't for the continued research and people like the Prof I wouldn't be here today. I will NEVER EVER forget having to tell my children I had cancer and it really isn't something I would wish on anyone...let's put a stop to it by enabling all those healthcare professionals to continue developing life saving treatments and continuing to provide support for those touched by cancer. Me, Mum (Rose), Emily and Ruby are all running...Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
