In memory of
My lovely step dad, Stephen Holmes.
My Story
We lost my step Dad, Steve, in 2016. He had mesotheliomia which is an asbestos related cancer. After being diagnosed he sadly passed just 9 months later at the young age of 57. He was a plumber all of his life and only had a nasty cough as a symptom. He was brave until the end and has left a forever hole in our hearts. Myself and my Mum have attended the DAST (derbyshire asbestos support team) charity memorial evenings each year. In which they project all the victims names of people who have suffered or sadly died from an asbestos related diseases. This year though, we wanted to do something positive for Steve as he was always such a active and fit person. Steve was at his happiest on a walk in the countryside with Mum and his dog, Otis. Please donate whatever you can to support me and my Mum, those of you who knows well will know we are not the fittest of people and so we wanted to push ourselves and make him proud of us.
