In memory of
My Mum Rose and sister Susan
This is my story. If you know me, you will absolutely know how much an impact cancer has had on my family and in my life. I lost my wonderful Mum to cancer when I was only 8yrs old. She was only 29 with 4 very young kids!! That was tough, but as a child you don't fully understand what this actually means, and it just got tougher the older I got when I realised that she definitely wasn't coming back and that I still needed her more than ever. Then unfortunately, years later, my big sister was diagnosed with cancer and she sadly passed away at age 34, again with 4 young kids!! She was my best friend and pretty much a mum figure in my life. So that's why I try to take part in events and try to raise as much money as I can for Cancer Research to hopefully help another family. I have entered into the Race for life so many times before and Pretty muddy event too, raising money for Cancer Research, but obviously these events didn't run last year and won't again this year, so this time I have decided to run a marathon over the month of March. This might seem a easy task for some of you, but I only just started running in lockdown 1 so I'm certainly no pro at this, but I shall give it a go and pray for no ice or snow in the month of March.🤞 Covid has put a stop to so many fundraising events last year and this year, so it's more important than ever for me to try and do something to help raise as much money as we can to help and hopefully....just one day....we may find a cure for this awful disease. I am well aware that money is tight, and even more so with Covid so, please only give if, and what you can afford. Absolutely no amount is too small. Whatever you can give is much appreciated. Thank you for visiting my Marathon Month Challenge page. I will be running 26.2 miles in a month for Cancer Research UK, because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Keep smiling. Stay safe Michelle 🌈 😀 💖
