I’m raising whatever I can to stop the physical & emotional pain caused by cancer
In memory of
Berting Villa & Raphael Cabanlit
Cancer has, unfortunately, touched me in too many ways: My dad has been living with prostate cancer for 12 years. One of my maternal uncle's has non-Hodgen's lymphoma, while another passed away from colon cancer a little more than a year ago. My maternal aunt survived breast cancer and just recently had surgery for lung cancer. My paternal uncle died of lung cancer two years ago. A good friend of mine is in post-treatment for throat cancer, a previous line manager in post-treatment for breast cancer and a good friend's mum is currently being treated for breast cancer. Update: I remembered I also have a close childhood friend who had her cancer removed a while ago, and a good friend who recently had her breast cancer removed and a mastectomy. And this is only who I can remember at 11pm on a Sunday night. I am sure there are many others I know who have cancer, and I don't doubt I know as many or more people who are affected similarly, if they don't have it themselves. And one person is one too many. I don't feel like I can sit around... I want to help and I feel helpless. Unfortunately, I am not a brilliant scientist, and so fundraising (and making sure I'm healthy so I can help others) is the only other way I can think of to help. If you can, please donate. Thank you! Michelle
