My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Why? Well you know I really haven't run far enough in 2019 :-) Seriously though I know a number of people who have been lost to cancer, and a number who have suffered. I am doing this to honour my two awesome grandmothers - Pauline Baker and Sylvia Cole. Both received late diagnoses of gastrointestinal cancers which present with non-specific, common symptoms which are often mistaken for something else until it is too late. Both died quickly without the chance for much in the way of treatment. Hopefully this can change.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
