This is my story of my Mum, my best friend who me and my family sadly lost on 4th March 2017 to a very short fight with very aggressive lymphoma and stage 4 bone marrow cancer. Mum had no idea she had it until she started to feel unwell, tired and no appetite at all. Then my auntie took her straight to hospital. Mum had tests done and returned the following week for her results where she was admitted immediately and was given chemo the following week. Sadly mums cancer was too aggressive and spreading fast, on top of this she had a severe internal infection which sadly all got too much for mum and her body, she was made comfortable and fell asleep in the morning of Saturday 4th March. Me and my family were with mum everyday and all with her in her final hours. Mum is now at peace with no more suffering and no more pain. I miss her like mad and I feel empty inside but mum did not have to wait and suffer for weeks on end wondering if the treatment would work. I know for a lot of you this maybe very hard to read but sadly this is my story and it's real life. It's happening to people everywhere, to friends and other family members. Just taking this one day to walk, jog or run, get sponsored by as many people as possible will help towards saving people's lives, helping give them more time with their loved ones and also giving the loved ones more time with them.
