My Story
Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. I turn 40 next year and wanted to try and make some positive changes to my health and wellbeing, so for the first time in 23 years, I am now a bike owner. I am not a fit bike owner, but hopefully that will change. A week after buying my bike, I saw an advert for the Cycle 300 Challenge, which could be fate or perhaps just a Facebook algorithm. Either way, this September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. This might not sound like much to some of you, but I'm unfit, my hips and ankles are shot, and since lockdown, I've been doing twice weekly runs to the bottle bank. It is an incredibly worthy cause. Cancer has already affected a number of people in my life, young and old. I'd like to try and raise as much money as possible to help those that it will affect in the future. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. I will add regular updates, including gratuitous lycra shots. And please add Gift Aid if you can, as this raises even more for the great cause. Thank you Mike
