My mum & dad (Abby's Granny Anne & Papa)
My Story
Myself and Abby are taking part in this event to raise money for Cancer Research in memory of my mum and dad, her Granny Anne and Papa. Abby never got to meet them - they were both cruelly taken away from us before she was born. My mum was only 55, and my dad was 61 - far too young to die. Both of them already had stage 4 cancer before it was even diagnosed and neither of them stood a chance against it - it was a terminal diagnosis from the beginning. We speak about them often and share photos so that Abby & Euan know all about them but it's not the same - they should be here with us, enjoying their retirement and having fun with all of their grandchildren. Please help us raise money to help prevent this horrible disease from ruining more lives.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
