Please support my Pink Ladies Tractor Run page
Firstly thank you for visiting my fundraising page. So these past few years, I have participated in the Pink Ladies Tractor Run a couple of times. Last year, I did my own mini garden tractor run doing 100 laps of the garden on my childrens toy tractor and with your help raised £1,075! The support was overwhelming and far greater than anticipated when I came up with the crazy idea to raise money during the COVID restrictions. This year, I find myself in a different state of mind. As I write this a very good friend of mine has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is the same age as me. This is a reminder that cancer can affect anyone - no matter their age. Cancer isn't fussy who it chooses. There are so many people out there, young and old, whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer (and other diseases). I can't speak first hand, but I know that it can feel as though you are the only one in the world who is affected, but I want to say to you that "YOU ARE NOT ALONE". This year, I am doing the tractor run with her in my mind, because we are going to beat this. You can beat this! So please, if you can donate anything I will be grateful. I know it's been a tough year for everyone in their own way. But if you can spare even a pound, all those pounds add up. Thank you for reading and taking the time. Meryl x Ladies Pink Tractor Road Run in aid of breast cancer Research for Cancer Research UK. Come and join this amazing event and be part of this special team. This will be the postponed 17th year of the event and so far, they have raised over £735,000 for the charity and are aiming for the million. If you are unable to take part, please feel free to donate in support of these amazing women.
CAUSE
Breast cancer
With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
