I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 1a at age 24. I am thankful that it was caught early through a CA125 tumour marker test (my husband nudged me to take that test out of the blue), so fortunately I didn't have to go through any further treatment. However, it was traumatic enough and every annual routine check-up creates anxiety. The good news is that was 19 years ago and I survived and it has always been at the back of my mind to use that experience to support others. NHS has been looking after me very well and most of all I'm grateful to God for His grace and it made me realise my purposes in life. It's not always easy to tell others I've once had the illness and those who are suffering should not need to go through it alone. So without contemplating any further, please join me in supporting Cancer Research UK in combating cancer. Thank you for giving and your generosity!
