I made a promise in 2010 following the loss of one of my best friends, that I would do at least 1 R4L event every year I was able, and intend to keep it - for her and for everyone else effected by this disease. This year I will be taking part in the normal Race for Life with my wonderful mum who has beaten cancer like an absolute heroine ❤ I'm also doing a Pretty Muddy event, so this year sees me doing races 10 and 11 of my R4L journey. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
