1.2 million UK deaths from cancer have been avoided since the mid-1980s In 2021 aged 41 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. A GP and single mum to girls aged 2 & 4 we'd lived through the pandemic and family estrangement. I couldn't believe it was happening, I thought I was going to die, what would happen to my girls..... Thanks to the life saving research funded by CRUK, my life was saved and I am here to see my children grow up. 1:2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetimes CRUK has no government funding and is the only charity to research all 200 cancer types. Research saves lives, support CRUK so we can help keep loved ones together for longer and bring forward the day when all cancers are curable.

CAUSE
Breast cancer
With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
