My Story
So many people are affected by cancer in their lifetime and yet many of us are still shocked when we or our loved ones get the news we all hope not to hear. When one of my close friends called me up last September to say she'd been diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 23, it made me sit back and reflect on all of the times cancer has reared its head in my life, and the lives of those I love. I don't like not being able to fix problems. Unfortunately, a cancer diagnosis isn't something I can magically fix. But running the Race For Life is a small way for me to contribute to making sure that we work towards a future that is truly cancer free. I'm doing this in memory of my Bampi I'm doing this in celebration of Debbie I'm doing this in support of Holly
