2025 Bath Half Marathon

My Story

In August 2023, my lovely Dad was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in his kidney. Fast forward to October ‘23, Jacob & I were getting married. Dad was desperate to walk me down the aisle, and so started his treatment as well as having one of his kidneys removed. Lucky for us, the surgery went well but Dad was still needing treatment. He was able to walk down the aisle with me, looking dapper in his 3 piece suit & we had the best day celebrating with him. He is now a very lucky man and is in remission!! He’s having checks and tests every 6 months & we have the lovely team at Derriford to thank for that. I am running the half marathon for Cancer Research Uk, but I am really running it for Dad. He has been amazing this last year. Well done Dad x Please donate anything you can to my donation page. Big or small, it all helps! Please keep me in your thoughts whilst running (I get out of breath going up stairs 🤣) Thanks for reading, Meg x
