My Story
Cancer - the big C. My family has been struck by this horrific disease sadly on a few occasions. My Aunt Madeleine, most recently not only fought the pandemic but has also bravely successfully fought breast cancer - she has been a true inspiration she is a survivor and undoubtedly the strongest person I know. Cancer is happening right now, "1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime" that is a completely shocking statistic. I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money for Cancer Research UK - I know it is cheesy but truly every single pound helps - it saves lives just like hers.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
