Our local race for life is happening on what would have been Becki's 26th Birthday, in memory of her we thought we'd do the pretty muddy Race for Life together! So her Mum, Dad, Sister and Niece will all be getting very muddy in the hope of raising some money! Becki tragically passed away in July 2021, aged 25, just 29 days after being diagnosed with a brain tumour (diffuse midline glioma), having only experienced any symptoms a couple of months before this. We still can't quite believe any of this happened and we all miss her ridiculous amounts so thought raising money was all we could do to try to help anyone else going through anything similar or to prevent this happening to anyone else in the future. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
