My Story

Half of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. I lost my dad to cancer in 2022, and my friend and work colleague Chris Reynolds in April 2023. Many friends of mine have had a cancer diagnosis, and I've had my own scare following a cervical screening. That's why I'm running the Chester Race for Life on July 9th 2023. If you can, please sponsor me to help the fight against cancer. Every single pound you donate through this page goes straight to Cancer Research UK and makes a difference to their groundbreaking work. As in previous years, I will match all donations made up to my fundraising target.

All Cancer Types

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
