My Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the 2019 Simplyhealth Great North Run to support Cancer Research UK. Cancer is a disease that affects many families at one time or another, with 1 in 2 people being diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime and a new diagnosis occurring every 2 minutes. Despite this, survival rates are improving, and 50% now survive cancer for 10 years or more due to essential work of charities such as Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by the public and supports all cancer types, finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat it to further improve survival rates. Please please donate anything you can to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I would be grateful for any donations, no matter how big or small. Thank you in advance.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
