My Story
This July (12–19, 2026), Pierre and I will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Standing at 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level, Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free standing mountain in the world. Over the course of seven days, we will trek through multiple climate zones, from rainforest to alpine desert, to reach the summit, Uhuru Peak, in the early hours of the 19th of July. We are taking on this challenge in honour of Luke. Luke was an incredibly kind, generous and inspiring person who meant a great deal to many people around him. His loss has had a profound impact on those who knew him, and this climb is our way of remembering him while raising awareness and support for a cause that urgently needs more attention. All donations, no matter how big or small, will go towards supporting rare cancer research and support services. Rare cancers often receive far less attention and funding than more common forms of the disease, yet they affect thousands of families every year. Climbing Kilimanjaro will be physically and mentally demanding, but knowing we are doing it for such an important cause will keep us going every step of the way. If you are able to donate or share this page, it would mean the world to us and help make a real difference.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
