My Story
After losing two amazing grandparents to cancer, I have long wanted to raise some money for CRUK, but never managed to rustle up the motivation to do it. This year, my life changed when my mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer; and her fight inspires me every day. As such a proud son, I decided that I wanted to get off my butt, start a training programme and raise some money, on her behalf. I am running the Windsor Half Marathon to raise some money for the research that goes towards the eradication of the disease that has impacted all of us. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
