My Story
I've got vested interest and massive gratitude for the expertise and learning here in the NE for both breast cancer and blood cancers. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, some of us more! Every single pound donated makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Picture is of me and my lovely bone marrow donor from Germany - whose dad had two unsuccessful transplants, which made my donor all the more determined to give. Each year, around 10,300 people are diagnosed with leukaemia in the UK. That’s 38 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat leukaemia.
