I have teamed up with some of my good friends to run the Hackney Half Marathon on 30th April! As I have never ran more than 10k, this will be a real push for me, but I am excited for the challenge, and the great cause will push me to do my best! We have all been effected by cancer in one way or another, so, as a team, felt passionate to raise money for Cancer Research as our chosen charity. Last year, an incredible, vibrant, funny and courageous friend of mine, Stuey, lost his battle a rare type of blood cancer, Plasma Call Leukaemia. He always lived life to the fullest, and was a great support of charity fundraising himself, having shaved off his incredible moustache just the year before he was diagnosed to raise money for cancer research himself! He saw life as a privilege and joy, and brought a great deal of joy and laughter to everyone around him! I will be wearing the best moustache I can find to run with on the day! I will also be running for my beautiful and talented Aunty Angela who, unfortunately, lost her battle with breast cancer. She was the most wonderful, kindest and sweetest person!
