Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. We're taking part in Race for Life at Arrow Valley Country Park on Sunday 9th June 2019. we are running in memory of my brother David who was diagnosed with bowel cancer following screening. After treatment he was given the all clear and had a scan to make sure it hadn't spread. Unfortunately the scan revealed that it was in his chest and it later spread to other parts of his body. He didn't have any symptoms and it was only through the bowel screening the cancer was discovered. It is extremely important that you carry out regular checks and attend screening programmes. we're running for Sue who has been battling cancer for over three years - keep up the fight Sue and for all those who are currently battling or have lost the fight. We will beat this, for them.
