This will be my 8th year of doing Race For Life..I started in 2010,the year two of my most precious people...my lovely Mum Margy and my precious daughter Mandy were both diagnosed with cancer within 2weeks of each other...Mum with bowel cancer+ Mandy with breast cancer at the age of 27. It was the worst year of my life, and a very stressful and trying time for the whole family. Sadly,Mum lost her battle after 10 months and 2 ops and we miss her so much. Thank god,after 1 op and 9months of chemo/radiotherapy,my lovely Mandy is doing well today and as beautiful as ever! She is the bravest girl I know and we all love her so much. So I run this yearly race for both of them ...and also for/in memory of, some very close friends who have fought/are fighting this horrible disease because it's one of the few things I can do to help. When a loved one is fighting cancer,you feel so helpless..you want to make everything right,but it's out of your control...but by raising money for Cancer Research we can help to forward progress in the battle with cancer,so please sponsor me..no matter how small the amount because every penny counts and will be very gratefully received!
