Matt's head shave for Barts

There are two stories going on at the same time that leads me to shave my head for charity. Firstly...I'm going bald. However, taking that decision to go from making the most of what I still have, to being a 22 year old with everything shaved off forever is quite a bit step. So, to help me take that step, why not do it for a great reason. That reason is the second part of this story. One of my best friends and wonderful colleague Chris McLeod has had a tough year for his family. His mother, Patricia, was diagnosed with cancer in April this year. St Bartholomew's Hospital treated and looked after her from then to October and, with the support of her family and friends, and incredible inner strength, she was given the all clear. To support the cancer research that is affiliated with St Bartholomew's Hospital, Chris, Patricia and I would love to raise as much money as possible for Barts Cancer Institute by me shaving my head. We, and everyone affiliated with me, Chris, his mum and the Welfare & Diversity section at Loughborough Students' Union, would love for you to donate for this wonderful cause. Thank you. Matt
