My Story
So...I must be completely crazy for this, but I figured it was about time I set myself a challenge...and this seems apt! So I'm going to be doing the Swim 10k Challenge this March to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I lost my mum to cancer quite suddenly back in 2010, and my aunt in 2020 also. I've been taking weekly swimming lessons for about a year and a half(ish!) now, started back in June 2023, and that's the only session I've been doing, so this is going to be one heck of a might challenge...but it just felt like the stars align. Gill, my mum was born in March 1957, so taking on this challenge in the month of March...just felt right. I've set a fundraising target, but this isn't just about the fundraising for the charity, it's to prove to myself that I can take on this challenge and be successful at it. So if you can spare anything to help me raise some money for Cancer Research UK at the same time, please do!
