Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Last year cancer affected our family. The treatment and care Mary received at Glenfield Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary was first class. Later in the year Dave received excellent treatment at Leicester Royal Infirmary when having a basal cell carcinoma removed. Mary is doing the Race for Life with daughters Emma and Sarah, and 3 year old grand-daughter, and with the support of husbands who all gave wonderful support last year. Any donations would be very much appreciated by us and by Cancer Research.
