Martyn's Race for Life
Bristol 5k 2019
Sun 30 Jun 2019 - Sun 30 Jun 2019
I lost my Mum to cancer in April 2017. It left me and my family totally devastated and changed our lives forever - Mum was just 72 when she died. Mum was dignified until the very end and never once let it affect her outlook. Not once did she complain, even in the final stages when she was bedridden, she remained a proud, strong individual . Watching someone you love slip away is one of the most challenging moments in anyone's life. It shouldn't be this way. Cancer isn't selective about who it targets or when it targets. The devastation it leaves behind though lasts a lifetime for those affected. If every person involved in Race for Life events across the UK managed to raise even £50 it would help to make greater strides towards changing the future for thousands of families.
