My Story
When I was just a baby my mum was diagnosed with Cancer. Sadly In 1994 when I was just 5 my mum sadly lost her battle with Cancer at a young age. In 2015 i was diagnosed with the same type of cancer that my mum had, but thanks to Ongoing research and developments in those 20 years i was given a radical operation and ongoing monitoring that has meant I am still here to tell the tale. Because of this I have decided to do a number of events in 2017 to raise money and to remind all women no matter what your age to go and have your smear test when called. DONT put it off as it really could save your life....or the life of someone you love. If you would like to sponsor me in this event i would really appreciate it :) Martine xx

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
