My Story
I’m taking on the 10 Days of 5k Challenge this March to raise money for Cancer Research UK - which means I’ll be running 5 kilometres ten times throughout the month. I’m doing this because cancer affects all of us in some way, and the more we do to fund research and improve treatments, the more lives we can save. My granddad passed away from cancer ten years ago, and people I love dearly have previously gone through or are currently going through treatment. Their courage, strength, and resilience inspire me every single day. If you’re able to, please show your support and help fund life‑saving research by donating. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
