Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I can remember when it was estimated that cancer would affect 1 person in 4 and then it became a figure of 1 in 3. Now we as a society are staring at a 50% affliction rate. Think about that for a moment. Next time you are in a room with family and friends, look around and decide which half of them you are prepared to lose to cancer, because if we as families, communities and society in general fail to support research, that's what we are effectively doing. So I'm undertaking a challenge to walk 10,000 steps (5 - 6 miles) every day in March to raise funds for cancer research. It won't be easy as I'm very clinically obese, have arthritic knees and haven't walked further than the pub for ages. Yes it's going to hurt, yes there will be days I don't want to do it and yes maybe I'm mad, but it's time to man up. There, I've talked the talk, now I'm going to walk the walk.
