My Story
Thank you so much for visiting my Giving Page. I have decided to run the Great North Run in aid of Cancer Research. One in two people will now get cancer in their lifetime and we all have families and friends affected by this disease, I certainly have. Beating and eliminating cancer requires research so I'm raising money to support this good cause. Running the Great North Run will be a challenge but I am sure that the incentive that I will be raising money will keep me going when I feel like giving up. The race itself is on September 8th and will be from Newcastle to South Shields. My training so far is going well and I will keep you posted about my progress.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
