In November last year my mum was diagnosed with liver cancer and we were later told that it couldn’t be treated and was inoperable. This came as devastating news and was even more frustrating as nothing could be done.
After a night out in early December and a few too many Cuban Zombies (great drink!!) I agreed with some friends to run the Stafford half marathon. I wanted to raise funds for this charity to help research into curing cancers that still can’t be treated so fewer people have to go through what I have been through these last few months.
Running a half marathon might be easy for some people but as a "well built gentleman" this was going to be a challenge for me and I only had 4 months to prepare for it.
Sadly my mum passed away on the 28th February this year and the family is struggling with this devastating news. So I am even more determined to run this half marathon and raise as much money as possible to save other families going through what we have just been through in the last 4 months.
Any donations would be gratefully received to act to spur me on and help save lives.
