My Story

In all honesty I’m generally quite sceptical about donating to large charities, preferring to operate on a more personal level when helping/assisting others. Cancer Research however is an issue quite close to my heart, as my late mother Veronica passed from breast cancer while I was still in my teens, back in 1999. I’ve also started to enjoy pushing myself with longer rides/some distance cycling of late, so it seemed like a no brainier to simultaneously challenge myself while raising some money for Cancer Research UK! 300 miles over the course of a month definitely wasn’t feeling like a challengy enough challenge, so I have committed to not only do it on one continuous journey, but also to up the distance to 500+ miles (if we can get the total raised here to over £500 by the time I start the challenge in June*). I really appreciate all donations being made here in support of Cancer Research UK and the challenge I am undertaking on their behalf. Thanks to everyone who has donated! Let’s do this 🚴‍♂️🇬🇧 500+
