My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Cancer touched my life 5 years ago when I lost my beloved Aunty B. She was the smiliest, cuddliest, laid back, loveable lady who used to bound into our home every 2nd Saturday with a loud "Come on over and make polite conversation with your Aunty". She was never unwell until this horrible disease got a grip of her and we watched that big cuddly rosey cheeked lady turn into a shell. Miss you. Wish our boys could have known you xx Margo ... my Mig! I was lucky to have had Margo as my bud. She was a wee rascal. A Torag. She got up to mischief but she would get away with anything with that cheeky grin, chuckle and witty banter. This one came as a total surprise and was a real kick in the gut. Loosing Margo floored me and impacts me still so much because I consider her one of my truest and oldest best friends . She was that person who could light up any room. She didn't know how much of a diamond she was. She would have been our boys God Mother ... If Margo had only went for checks... It sure did make me realise how important smear tests are. I love and miss you pally. I know you'll be cheering us on xx 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us if you can. Thanks for reading xx
