2021 Chiltern Challenge
Sat 25 Sep 2021
My daughter, Sarah, and I decided over a year ago to take part in a Macmillan walk to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, a charity which is close to our hearts. Twice our event has been cancelled due to covid restrictions. We have now signed up for the rather hillier 25km Chiltern challenge in September and it certainly looks that this will go ahead. Unfortunately, cancer has touched most of our lives, whether it be ourselves, a family member or a friend. Cancer Research UK is a leading force in the endeavour to find a cure and better treatment for this disease. It is the first vital step in the team effort of understanding cancer, developing treatment and supporting patients. Much as I love walking, the only reason I am taking on such a distance is to raise much needed funds for this charity. Over the past year Cancer Research has seen its income drop by 30% due to Covid-19. Any donation you can make will be really appreciated, no donation is too small. We shall send you photos on the day, well certainly before ones, we’ll see about after … Thank you all very much for your support, Marion Donating through this page is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
