Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. After nearly 2 years of strength, courage and determination to win and giving her best shot ! My cousin Julie lost her battle on the 08th of February 2019 against stomach cancer at the age of 37 years old! She never gave up and always kept her head high. She was just incredible, ...a unique "Warrior"! In September I will be taking a challenge in her memory, but also to raise money and awareness around all types of cancers to help finding a cure. Here is the challenge: The High Alps Trek will be a challenging high-level traverse in the French and Swiss Alps, walking from Chamonix in France, to Verbier in Switzerland, with the trek taking place over 4 days and covering 75km. Gathering in Chamonix on the 18th September and after a comprehensive briefing, will set off early the next day to begin the adventure. The Haute Route is challenging for its elevation gains and distances but is entirely non-technical. It is manageable for hikers who are happy to walk for between 6h and 8h per day along a long-distance trail.
