Marilyn's Very 2020 Race for Life
In memory of
Myra, Pearl, Mum (a survivor) and far too many more
My story: As many of you know, when I was training for The Race for Life in 2015 I became ill with ME. I wasn't able to complete it until 2017 - a huge achievement. I had a baby in 2019 and hoped to do The Race for Life again this year - but the pandemic had other ideas! Still, I decided to do Couch to 5k anyway, and have nearly completed it. On 26 September I hope to run for 28 minutes (4.2k) and walk the rest - it would not be wise for me to push to run the extra 0.8k at this time. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. That's why I'll be taking part in a Very 2020 Race for Life. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today!
