I'm walking Shine Night Walk in the fight to beat cancer. Everyday we hear of more people surviving so we are getting there, but sadly, people are still dying from cancer, so please donate if you can

In memory of

My sister, Lesley Smith

Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.

Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work, so please sponsor me now.

On Sunday 21st July, There will be an afternoon tea and cake event at my house. More details to follow shortly, but I would love it if you could find 30 minutes in your busy schedules to pop round, maybe have a cuppa and a slice or two of cake, at the cost of a small donation towards my Shine walk. It all goes to a very worthy cause, which hopefully will take us closer to stopping this dreadful disease and end so much suffering. More details regarding time and address to follow!

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
