My Story
In May 2018 my family and I got devastating news: my dad had cancer. He underwent a complex and lengthy process that took a toll in his wellbeing but... he survived. He was a lucky one, as his cancer was at risk of spreading to other organs, but it was caught on time. I firmly believe that he wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the science and the research done in this field. I promised back then that I would do everything in my hand to raise awareness about the need for research funding and contribute as much as I can. I'd like the investigations to develop further and a cure for this terrible and devastating disease is found. To do this I have committed myself to do a minimum of 10,000 steps a day every day in March My target is to raise £150, which doesn't look like too much, but it will mean a lot for many people in the near future. Thank you very much in anticipation for your contribution. I am aware of the difficulties people might be going through as well in these uncertain times, so I would like to ask you that if you can't donate, just share this page. Together we will beat this, one way or another. And remember: with science and research, one day, hopefully not too far, we will find a cure for this illness. Much love, Maria
